PRAISE YESHUA
It hit me that in my last post I did not give full stories on what the Lord is doing here and let me start by telling you to buckle in because it’s actually wild!! So if we all read in my last post we were each assigned a refugee child to teach English to, amazing I love Mia so much. Well that’s just one side of our ministry we also have church every Friday night starting from 8pm going until 12-1am so that’s just crazy in itself but let me tell ya the Lord is an amazing provider because He fought the sleep off for me so I didn’t have to. So let me take you back to the first church service that I experienced(aka last week) it’s a fairly small building with about 80 people in it but boy do they worship as loud as they can and as hard as they can. During the summer I remember saying how excited I was to watch and experience how other cultures worship, now that it’s here I can confidently tell you that I immediately cried. It was BEAUTIFUL, they are all so passionate and burn with the fire of Jesus and dance and clap like it’s one big party. I’m also loving watching the dancing tambourine girls up there all choreographed and ready to go; starting from ages as little as 7 to 23. Everyone in this church has a role and play a part in the family and body of Christ, there is no such thing as limits here and no one is judged off special abilities. in this church/ family if you have a passion for serving the Lord then they will teach you all the skills you need to know. Okay so now that I’ve briefly explained that let’s go back to a few hours prior to this church service. I was with a small group of people and we were trying to figure out chop sticks while eating in a food court (we definitely looked like dumb Americans). well there was man sitting at a table laughing to himself and trying to teach us from across the room as some time passes he comes to sit with us. I find out his name is Bryan and he has lived in Malaysia all his life he is a very sweet man and we hoped to see him again. Fast forward we see him today (exactly one week later) have lunch in the same spot and invite him to church. Well guys!! He came to church with us and guess what?? He is 48 years old and no one has ever told him about Jesus or stepped into church so today was his first and he LOVED it!! He was so receptive and it brought so many tears of joy to see him actively get excited about Gods Word. I’m asking for intercession with Bryan that he will see that the Lord is so ferociously after his heart and it was 0 coincidence that we met him last week in a food court over chopsticks. Like come on!! The Lord is GOOD and so actively working. It’s hard to get so many details in here while trying to keep it short and sweet but I did want to share that tidbit. On the other hand I absolutely am loving hanging out with all the younger church girls who are just so sweet and in awe of all the white people lol! Thank you for reading 🙂
