Update time! After traveling for 47 hours we made it to Chaing Mai Thailand on the 19th! The ride here was honestly so fun, we got to come by train and my favorite part was sitting in between the carts and watching the world go by, although… that wasn’t the only spot you could see the outside world, most carts didn’t have windows! That in and of itself was an experience to remember. The same day that we arrived we decided that we would travel to Wat Prathat temple! It was so beautiful and amazing to see how colorful and creative architecture can be. That’s exactly how I envisioned Thailand, a place where God is filling my life with color and joy and He already has! We are so blessed in our living situation and our placement. We live above a cafe called Bella Goose and we are in the heart of the city so we get to walk wherever we need to go! My team and I were given a room full of bunkbeds which we love because it’s a sleepover everyday! Not only that but there are two rooftops that we can hangout on. One has a kitchen and four showers which we LOVE. We have also been enjoying cooking our weekend meals together. Plus don’t even get us started on the sunsets, they are unreal! Every single one is full of color and it has definitely been my favorite way to end our night, we all get together, play music, and watch the colors in the sky fall. As a team we did a listening prayer and asked the Lord to reveal a word that we can lean into this month and the word I heard for this month was ‘discipline’. Whether that looks like reading my Bible everyday, sticking to running, or staying engaged with our ministry I want to really grow in discipline and in faith. For ministry this month we are working in a children’s home that houses kids that require more attention. The ages we get to work with is 0-9 years old and they all have such sweet hearts! At first, I will admit, I turned my nose at working with kids again because I wanted a variety of ministry but after meeting them on Friday I realize these kids are our future generation and we can make such an impact in their lives – it’s crucial for our team just dive in and embrace all of it. I am so excited to see how God uses us and what the kids teach me personally. But! We are not only working with these kids but also the staff! Since this children’s home doubles as a women’s correctional facility due to petty crime, the staff is made up of teen girls that are required to come to work, learn English and hopefully make a life for themselves after (kinda like probation). I only met 4 on Friday but they were all so so sweet and we are all very excited to get to know them as well! Unfortunately we are not allowed to photograph the home or the children because they are all up for international adoption so they cannot be put them on the internet whatsoever. I will do my best with updating my blog and posting on instagram (I promise not all we do is go to coffee it’s just the only thing I can post about while being in Thailand) Thank you all for your prayers and support!!

I’m so excited that you are listening to the Holy Spirit and able to change your attitude to do whatever God is allowing you all to do. It is such a great perspective to see that you are working with and affecting the future generations. That’s exactly what we are doing at CCS!:) So happy to know our labor is not in vain!!! You bless my heart! Eat some yummy Thai food for me. Have you learned “My ped” yet?:) I used that phrase a lot but don’t need it now. Sawadika!! Continued prayers for God to use you and show Himself real.
What neat ministries you get to work with while in Thailand-talk about making a difference in people’s lives! You get to do it everyday at ministry-very cool. I also am impressed that God gave you the word “discipline” and you embraced it! You go girl!
