Heyyyoooo I’m sorry it’s been so long! Life has been a wirlwind and crazy but God is good and moving! We got to Malaysia 8 days ago and it took a total of 42hours of travel to get to this city we are in. SO crazy but travel day was also a blur for me haha! Celebrated my birthday on the plane and the flight attendants were so kind to bring me a cake (tasted great). Up until Monday we were exploring this town and able to go places when we had a buddy. Food has been great, rice and chicken almost every night but we have been enjoying experience everything as a whole. On the contrary, we do all share the same living space! We sleep in one large room & our upstairs is where we have meals together. In the beginning this definitely alarmed some people but we soon realized that we are so beyond blessed to have AC and be together indoors. (Weather being in the 80s along with 80% humidity). Monday we started working with refugee kids and that’s been a blessing but also very stretching. We each got assigned a child and get to teach them English during our time here! My girl is 9 and she is so joyful and has blessed me already and it’s only been 3 days of knowing her. We have had many fun surprising scenarios that have popped up that demands all of us to step up and i think that has been on of my favorite parts because i get to see my team grow in real time. AWESOME! Also let’s not forget to touch on the fact that Malaysia is so gorgeous and I’ve been loving every sunset and sunrise. Praise the Lord!
Wow, you’re doing it! We LOVE hearing all about your experiences and all that you’re learning and sharing. It sounds like a beautiful place. What’s your little girl’s name? She’s so lucky to have you teaching her. We’re doing okay here. Days and nights are cooling and the leaves are turning.
